REMINDER – closing date for annual renewal of registration is 31 March 2008
Closing date for annual renewal is fast approaching. If you haven’t already done so please send in your annual renewal now.
The Architects Act requires the Board to remove an architect’ s name from the Register of Architects if annual registration is not completed by 31 March in each year. Architects may apply for re-registration after that date by completing Form 06 and paying a late fee in addition to the annual renewal fee.
It is mandatory to undertake continuing professional education/development (CPE/D), however architects should not delay submitting their renewal to meet their obligations in the 2007 registration year.
Architects who have not met the minimum CPE/D obligation of 20 hours, should submit their application for annual renewal, together with their record of CPE/D activities and any reason why they have not been able to meet their obligations. Depending upon the circumstances, an exemption may be appropriate, or an extension of time granted to remedy any shortfall.
